Shortercuts Privacy Policy Effective date: 18 September 2026 Shortercuts is made by FTECH L.L.C ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Shortercuts does with information on your device, and what leaves it. The short version: Shortercuts collects nothing about you, has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and the only services it talks to are Apple's, on your behalf. 1. Information we collect We do not collect, store or receive any personal information from Shortercuts. There is no sign-up, no email address, no tracking identifier and no usage analytics for this application. 2. Data you create in Shortercuts Variables, constants, sets, lists, incrementers, colors, saved sounds, input schemas, alarms and summaries that you create are stored on your device. If your device is signed in to iCloud, they are also stored in your private iCloud database so they are available on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This iCloud data is stored in a private CloudKit database that only your Apple Account can access. The names and contents of your saved items are end-to-end encrypted, which means Apple stores them in a form that only your own trusted devices can read. We cannot read them and neither can Apple. You can delete any saved item inside the app, which removes it from every device. Signing out of iCloud, or turning off iCloud for Shortercuts in Settings, stops syncing. Deleting the app removes its data from that device. 3. Data accessed with your permission Some actions and summary widgets read information that Apple protects behind a permission prompt. Shortercuts asks only when you first use the feature that needs it, uses what it reads only to produce the result you asked for, and does not send it anywhere. - Calendars: read to provide the Calendar Details and Calendar Event Details actions and Calendar widgets. Events are never created or changed. - Reminders: read to list and count reminders in Reminders widgets. Reminders are never created or changed. - Health: read to show metrics such as steps, distance, active energy, heart rate, blood oxygen and weight in Health widgets. Health data is never written and never leaves your device. - Photos: read to build collages, memories and photo counts in Photos widgets, and to save a summary's QR code to your library when you ask. Photos are never edited or deleted. - Music: read to provide the Music actions and Music widgets, and to create or edit playlists when you use the Music Playlist action. - Location: used to show a local forecast in Weather widgets and to deliver notifications you set to fire when you arrive at or leave a place. - Microphone and Speech Recognition: used by the Confirm with Dictation action to hear a spoken yes or no. Spoken audio is processed through Apple's speech recognition and is not retained by Shortercuts. - NFC: used by the Read NFC Tag and Write NFC Tag actions on the tag you hold to your device. - Notifications: used to deliver notifications that a shortcut asks for and to read the ones that are pending. You can change any of these permissions at any time in the Settings app on your device. Revoking one stops the related action or widget from working and affects nothing else. 4. Services Shortercuts connects to Shortercuts makes network requests only to Apple services, and only for the following: - iCloud (CloudKit): to sync the data described in section 2. - Apple Weather (WeatherKit): to fetch the forecast for a Weather widget. Your location is sent to Apple to return a forecast for it, subject to Apple's privacy policy. - Apple Music: to fetch album artwork for Music widgets. - App Store (StoreKit): to check and restore your Shortercuts Premium purchase. - Apple Push Notifications: to receive a silent notification when your iCloud data changes on another device, so the app can refresh. No content is carried in it. No request carries an identifier that we could use to recognize you, and we do not operate any server that receives these requests. 5. In-app purchases Shortercuts Premium is a one-time purchase handled entirely by the App Store. We receive no payment details, name or email address. Apple provides us only with aggregate, anonymized sales reporting. Purchase status is checked on your device against the App Store, and refunds are handled by Apple. 6. Shortcuts and Siri Shortercuts actions run inside the Shortcuts app and through Siri. The values you pass into an action and the results it returns are handled by Shortcuts and Siri under Apple's privacy policy. Shortercuts does not log or transmit them. 7. Children Shortercuts is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. 8. Your rights Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on request. Everything Shortercuts stores is on your devices and in your own iCloud account, under your control. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will respond. 9. Changes to this policy If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this address. A change that affects what data leaves your device will also be described in the app's release notes. 10. Contact FTECH L.L.C support@ftech-llc.org ftech-llc.org
